Igor Dyomin: “transneft Will Not Shut Down Baku-novorossiysk Pipeline for Now”

Agshin Rafigoglu; Taking into account the request of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan to extend the term of the contract on oil delivery via this pipeline, Russian Transneft Company will not shut down Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline for now, said the company's spokesman Igor Dyomin.

He noted that the Russian company was going to shut down the pipeline: “Azerbaijan requested to extend the term of the contract. The contract expires on February 14. We are holding negotiations to reach a new commercial agreement instead of the valid intergovernmental agreement and contract that expires today”.
