Tanap Partners Intend to Realize Project At Their Own Expenses

Aynur Aliyeva; TANAP (Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline) partners intend to realize project at their own expenses without applying to banks, Samir Kerimli, the First Deputy Managing Director of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in Turkey, said at the event entitled “TANAP’s Role in Making Turkey an Energy Hub”.

He said that investment cost of the project is $10-12bn. Kerimli said that the decision of partners to use their own capitals aims to accelerate realization process of the project. However, he added that banks can be involved after the certain stage of the project.

Turkey part of TANAP is planned to be about 1,830 km. Moreover, diameter of the pipeline up to Eskishehir will be 56 inches, up to Europe - 47 inches.
