Azerbaijan to Expand Internet Bandwidth By 4 Times in Coming 8 Years

Agshin Rafigoglu; Event on the outcomes of the Year of Information and Communications Technology and launch of Azerbaijan's first telecommunications satellite (Azerspace-1) has been held in Baku, APA-Economics reports. Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov said that internet bandwidth is planned to be expanded by 4 times in the coming 8 years: “Internet speed will be increased to 20 Mbit/s in the regions and 100 Mbit/s in Baku and other cities in the coming 3 years.”
